i hate one direction fans so much
i need my whole room to cool down but no this damn thing only blows one way

I literally had to read that 5 times…

oh my god

Fucking hospital bills.

I called to pay my $50 a month plan for my hospital bill. Apparently I owe $5,050.50. Not what the mailed bills have been saying. I guess they simply forgot to tell me there were doctor’s dues as well as machinery or something. Anyway. Paid the $50, and the nice man on the other end said he could put in a plea for a 45% discount on the overall bill because I don’t have insurance. This would bring the bill down to $2,404.50. He did and said I should be getting a fixed up bill if the plea is accepted.

I’m still going to try and get health insurance because that trip was a nightmare. I hate hospitals and never would have gone if Starbug, Des, and Winry hadn’t made me.

But it did kind of save me so I’ll just be ungrateful about the fucking bill I’m saddled with now.

I want lunch.

Teriyaki Chicken Bowl or McDonald’s?

Is it just me or does this gif set completely summarize the way society treats bi people.

1: “It was only a phase”
2: “You had a sexy phase?” - overly sexualizing a relationship between two girls.
3: “Obviously men are better” so of course she became straight again after giving men something to drool over.

If I wasn’t hung over I might be able to put my thoughts out better.

EDIT: “I didn’t think it would count” - relationships aren’t real unless a penis is involved somehow. So this actually shows how bi girls are treated more than just bi people in general.

Ugh, the “sexy phase” line is just grosssss.

I will not stop telling people that I hate this movie every time it comes up. I was forced to go, I didn’t like it, and if I have to hear one more vegan superpowers joke I’m going to scream.

I will say the actor playing Ramona Flowers is very pretty though.

all of that, and also gross is the fact that non-hetero “needs” to be justified in the first goddamn place. how it should have gone:

“you and her?”

“yes.”

THAT’S IT. i’ll allow for the addition of “oh, okay. i didn’t know. sorry.”

also? i gave two years of my life to a girl who now goes around saying it was just a phase, it wasn’t really serious, it was just some weird thing, etc etc etc.

it’s so painfully invalidating. i felt so hard for miss bi-furious over there. to get told to your face that you didn’t even matter. you don’t even count. it wasn’t “real”.

it’s awful.

While I like this movie well enough, it has a lot of stupidity in it. This scene DID bug me… It’s Okay To Be Bi, dammit ;)

Oscar was adopted as a kitten from an animal shelter and grew up in the third-floor end-stage dementia unit at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The 41-bed unit treats people with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease and other illnesses, most of whom are in the end stage of life and are generally unaware of their surroundings. Oscar was one of six cats adopted by Steere House, which bills itself as a “pet friendly” facility.
After about six months, the staff noticed that Oscar, just like the doctors and nurses, would make his own rounds. Oscar would sniff and observe patients, then curl up to sleep with certain ones. The patients he would sleep with often died within several hours of his arrival. One of the first cases involved a patient who had a blood clot in her leg that was ice cold at the time. Oscar wrapped his body around her leg and stayed until the woman died.In another instance, the doctor had made a determination of impending death based on the patient’s condition, while Oscar simply walked away, causing the doctor to believe that Oscar’s streak (12 at the time) had ended. However, it would be later discovered that the doctor’s prognosis was simply 10 hours too early: Oscar later visited the patient, who died two hours later.
Oscar’s accuracy led the staff to institute a new and unusual protocol: once he is discovered sleeping with a patient, staff will call family members to notify them of the patient’s (expected) impending death.
Most of the time the patient’s family has no issue with Oscar being present at the time of death. On those occasions when he is removed from the room at the family’s request, he is known to pace back and forth in front of the door and meow in protest. When present, Oscar will stay by the patient until they die, then after death will quietly leave the room.

i find this very interesting as this behavior seems common in many cats that reside in mental and nursing homes. Often sharing the bed of the soon to be deceased. In the ancient world cats were revered by many cultures, most famously Ancient Egypt, as guardians of the underworld, keepers of the gate of death, and sometimes even harbingers of death itself. This makes me wonder whether this behavior was observed during ancient times as well and perhaps prompted this belief and many practices surrounding it.

I don’t care if it’s “not your type of blog”, I’m shocked and disappointed that my dash isn’t flooded with prayer and best wishes for all of those in Oklahoma.
You still have a home to sleep in tonight, and your life is not literally uprooted. Let’s have some decency here and let everyone effected know that all of America is rooting and praying for them to come out on top of this disaster.

My heart is with these people, as is my thoughts. I wish the best for them, they deserve it.
